Training Specialists
Training Specialists was founded by Steven Anderson. Steve Anderson is a 37 year veteran of the Des Moines Iowa Police Department. Has an AA degree in Criminal Justice, was a Staff Sergeant in the USAF Security Police Squadron. He graduated from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy, The Des Moines Police Regional Academy, and graduated as Crime Prevention Practitioner from the National Crime Prevention Institute at the University of Louisville. He is a graduate from the FBI Instructor Development School. He is currently assigned to the Vice/Narcotics unit.
Steve graduated as a Law Enforcement Firearms instructor from the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and is certified as a civilian instructor. He is a Glock armorer and a Law Enforcement instructor for Glock. He is a Pursuit Driving Instructor for the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and the Des Moines Regional Police Academy. He also is a field situation instructor for the Des Moines Police Academy.
Steve also spent 15 years in the Crime Prevention Section of the Des Moines Police Department. Steve became known for several programs that became nationally known. He received an award for a video he made to train Law Enforcement Officers on what to do when they encounter the Hearing Impaired. He also recieved an award for a Robbery Response Course for banks and credit unions. He has been featured in the Ladies Home Journal Magazine, and Readers Digest on children safety.
